Intended Use:

The test kit is intended to be used for qualitative detection of allergen specific IgE in  feline serum or plasma.

Principle:

The Feline Allergen-Specific IgE Immunoblot Assay is qualitative, membrane based Immunoblotting for detection of antibodies to allergen-specific IgE in feline serum  or plasma. The membrane is pre-coated with high-quality allergen proteins. During  testing, the sIgE antibodies in specimen are bound to allergen protein to form immune  complex which immobilized on protein coating region. After washing, the non specific IgE antibody and other components in serum or plasma are removed. When  adding enzyme-labeled anti-feline IgE antibody, it formed a new immune complex with the allergen-sIgE antibody complex on the membrane, and the unbound  substances were removed by washing. The substrate solution is added for color  reaction. The colorless or yellowish substrate gradually turned purple under the  catalysis of enzyme. When the reaction is over, the color intensity is judged by the  color card provided with this kit. The color intensity of the line is directly proportional  to the concentration of specific IgE antibody in serum or plasma.
